Zero Waste Coalition Spring 2025

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at the Spring 2025 Zero Waste Leaders Retreat! It was an amazing half-day of connecting, visioning, and planning for the future of the Coalition’s efforts for zero waste on campus.

Our timeline with four main goals: accountability, communications, outreach and professional development for Coalition members.

Here are some important action items for all members:

  • Fill out the schej for our monthly meetings ASAP!

  • Fill out our When2meet for our Student Coalition meeting, which will support Cooperative Reuse in outreach and communications

    • Cooperative Reuse is a student-led furniture recycling program led by ZWC and various partners, you can learn more here

  • For those who did not attend Retreat, please read our new semester goals

  • You can also join our coalition meeting online at this link. Remember that our meetings are required for coalition members and a great chance to promote events, build community, and participate in the discussion on Zero Waste at Cal.

  • Ongoing projects!

    • We are excited to (re)-start and brainstorm new coalition-wide projects for the spring semester.

If you cannot attend and would like to designate a different member of your organization, please let us know. These meetings are open to all students, so feel free to invite anyone else who is interested in joining the zero waste conversation!
