Zero Waste October! 🎃

We’re almost at the end of Zero Waste October! There were so many amazing events that inspired zero-waste change, and we still have a few more coming up! Our next meeting is Thursday, October 24th at 4:00pm in the SERC Space.

We will be plugging the last of our ZWO events, discussing spring projects, potential collaborations, and ways the Coalition can support each other in future projects.

Each event you attend gives you another entry into our raffle for a Stasher bag, one of three $25 gift cards to a local zero-waste shop, and other prizes!! Fill out the form here for each of the events you attend.

  • Reminder: you can also join our coalition meeting online at this link. Remember that our meetings are required for coalition members and a great chance to promote events, build community, and participate in the discussion on Zero Waste at Cal.

If you cannot attend and would like to designate a different member of your organization, please let us know. These meetings are open to all students, so feel free to invite anyone else who is interested in joining the zero waste conversation!

The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) at UC Berkeley is our campus green fund program, providing financial support to sustainability and environmental justice projects that move our campus forward.  We are seeking feedback about our current grant program, the grantee experience, as well as how our grant program could change or improve to better serve students and our mission. Fill out the survey here!

All TGIF grant applicants, project leaders, and UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty are eligible to provide feedback. As a token of appreciation, all survey respondents will be entered into a raffle for one of four $50 gift cards in October 2024.
